I am positively thrilled that long skirts are "in" this spring. Clothing pitched at my age group has for years been about skimpy skirts and those 1-inch-inseam "shorts". Now I can hide my legs and be fashionable, which is a strange new world. No longer will I feel like the odd, hippie/Bohemian type. No longer will I be showing stark, dimpled trunks for spring break.
I love long skirts so much that I'm thinking of milking this trend to the maximum, for a long time. Ankle-length red, white, and blue, anyone?
